Another city merged with Gatineau a few years ago, Hull proposes a large range of activities. Among other things, you can embark upon a great adventure aboard the Hull-Chelsea-Wakefield Steam Train. This train makes the trip between these cities twice a day, which is a 3-hour-long trip. In Wakefield, you can watch the conductors turn the locomotive by hand. In Hull, you will also find the Maison du Citoyen, a city hall inaugurated in 1980, in which you will find a library, an art gallery, concert halls and meeting rooms. Hull also houses part of the Gatineau Park, shared with the municipality of Chelsea. The main attraction of this city is undoubtedly the Casino du Lac-Leamy, located in an enchanting setting and accessible by boat from the Outaouais River. The Casino has more than 1,800 slot machines and 64 gaming tables, as well as a Keno room, a bingo and an electronic horse race track for the joy of gamblers. You will also have access to four restaurants, which propose menus for all tastes. Make sure you try the family activities offered in Hull. Year round, the Canadian Museum of Civilization presents permanent exhibitions , including the majestic Great Hall, in which is shown the largest interior collection of totem poles in the world. The First Peopled Hall, for its part, is dedicated to the history of the Amerindian communities in Canada, and the famous Canada Hall will make you relive a thousand years of our country's history. For younger ones, the Children's Museum offers a tactile discovery area. You can also visit the Canadian postal Museum and the Imax Theatre, which are both located inside the Museum.
Whether your are travelling for work or for fun, you won’t have any problem to find a hotel, motel or inn that will fit your needs.
