The city of La Malbaie now includes the former municipalities of Pointe-au-Pic, Rivière-Malbaie, Sainte-Agnès, Cap-à-l'Aigle and Saint-Fidèle. One of the favourite tourist destinations for more than two centuries now, the region of La Malbaie has always pleased its visitors. In Murray Bay's immediate area, you will find a golf course, which is one of the oldest in the country, as well as a promenade, which runs along the bay up to the parc du quai Casgrain. The Pointe-au-Pic area is also a place where you will have access to panoramic stairs that will lead you to the hotel Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu and the Casino de Charlevoix. There, customers can do a large number of outdoor activities like golfing, horseback riding, skiing or snowmobiling. On the site, you will also find restaurants, boutiques, complete sport centre, a health centrer as well as an ultramodern conference centre.

In the Rivière-Malbaie area, located between La Malbaie, Clermont and Cap-à-l'Aigle, the Mont Grand Fonds invites you to try its ski resort while the Camping des chutes Fraser offers you many campgrounds near these impressing 55-meter-high waterfalls, a mini-golf and picnic areas. A little farther, the Forge-menuiserie Cauchon, located on the edge of the Malbaie River, houses more than 200 home-made tools and will allow you to relive 120 years of history and to understand the role of the blacksmiths in the beginning of the 20th  century.

It's in the Sainte-Agnès area that you will find the church built in 1844 inside which scenes from the soap opera “Le Temps d'une Paix” were shot. In the Rang Sainte-Philomène, the monastère de la Croix glorieuse houses a contemplative monk catholic community. The Maison du Bootlegger is another attraction you will want to visit. Built in 1860, this residence was a gathering place for those who wanted to drink alcohol at the time it was forbidden by religion and was banned in the United-States.

Finally, the Cap-à-l'Aigle area houses the largest private garden in Canada, les Jardins “Les Quatre Vents”. Covering about 20 acres, this site has 40 gardens right next to one another. Another similar park is the Jardins du cap à l'Aigle, which houses about twenty plant beds with all kinds of flowers, as well as a part of the lilac collection from the corporation Cap-à-l'Aigle Village Lilas.
