In the heart of the Laurentides, the municipality of Lac-Supérieur was created in 1881. Its some 1,500  inhabitants share this territory of barely 400  km2. It is thanks to Father Labelle that the region was first inhabited during the New France epoch. Nowadays, this municipality is one of the entryways for the parc national du Mont-Tremblant.
