A few words describe the Kennebec & Moose River Valleys region well: the multitude of lakes and rivers, its mountains and its particular fauna.
The area begins in Augusta and if you continue along the Kennebec River, you will pass by Waterville, Skowehegan, The Forks and Jackman, the snowmobile capital.
The outdoor fan will appreciate activities such as kayaking, canoeing, swimming, white-water rafting, hiking, bicycling, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, hunting and fishing. There are several museums and historic sites to visit. The lakeside cabins, the parks and the gardens are ideal for those people wishing to relax.
