The tourist area of Nord-du-Quebec - Nunavik
Covering approximately 60% of the whole Quebec territory, this area is made of 2 great sectors. At the north of the 55th parallel, the Nunavik sector, accessible only by airplane or boat, is recognized for caribou hunting, fishing and boreal dawn observation.
Between the 49th and the 55th parallels, the Baie-James sector allows several activities, like snowmobiling, dogsledding and ice fishing during winter and golfing, mountain biking, horseback riding and water sports during summer, but this sector is especially recognized for its hydro-electric installation's tour.
