6 days of raids of exclusivenessin the Faunal Reserve Papineau Labelle (located 15 minutes from the Inn) The paths which you will borrow are exclusively traced and marked out by our team. We offer the most genuine circuit, (approximately 180 km) and each evening you will lodge in a different refuge. We have reserved for you the most beautiful roundwood country cottages, of the Reserve.
As in any natural adventure, comfort is rudimentary and you will have to take part in the daily tasks: seeking water in the rivers or lakes, getting frsh wood, helping in the preparation of meals.
And most of all you will learn how to look after your dogs: feed them, put their harnesses, harness them to the sleigh in a proper way.
Short description of your trip:
- Friday : Arrival and transfer to our Auberge.
- Saturday : You will meet your guide and your dogs, and will prepare your sleigh for a great adventure. At the end of the morning you will sleigh torwards your first refuge which you will reach midday.
- Sunday to Wednesday : Unforgettable days in a breathtaking landscape. You will be more and more at ease in your sleigh and will start to enjoy all the little paths this forest will offer you, like the great crossings f the iced rivers. During this trip your musher-guide will interpret you all the animal traces you will see, and on the same night, by the fire, he will tell you abuot all his wonderful adventures.
- Thusday : During the afternoon, return to the Auberge, for a night of animation, past recollections and future white dreams.
- Friday : Transfer to Montreal during the day.
For your safety : All our guides are certified first aid and are equipped with a satellite phone. In case of emergency, we have an insurance with an air ambulance (air médic), throughout the raid.
For your own comfort : We provide you a sleeping bag -20° and interior sheets and you can rent onsite: boots and snow suits for our big colds.
The Meals: Every day at lunch time, you will make a stop, for a BBQ. You will learn how to make a fire in the snow, and on a carpet of branches. At night, our meals are simple, familiar and hearty.
The Transfers : our driver will greet you upon your arrival at the airport on Firday, and will drive you up to the Auberge (approximately a 2.5 hour drive). You return transfer will be organized for the following Friday.
